Taking a stab at capturing a running animal...I mostly shoot static landscapes. In the last NatGeo there was a poster of the cheetah running captured using high speed camera. Here is a video for it

Here is another behind the scene video with 3 1D X with 70-200 in burst mode

It shows how fast the cheetah is running.

I don't think I've ever seen that look in a cheetah's eyes before...talk about being focused on a target...nicely done Sunny.

I don't know of anywhere in Africa where Cheetah's can run on green mowed grass

they readily chase lures - we have a wildlife park where one of the rangers gets on a bicycle and drags a plastic soda bottle on a string so that photos can be taken. Wait for the all paws in the air moment.....

Awesome pics!

Cool video as well, but I wish they would have shown more footage with the cheetah running at full speed, and show the actual speed of the cheetah. NOT IN SLOW MOTION!! Let's see the actual LIVE REAL FULL SPEED of the cheetah in ACTUAL SPEED!!

Yes, she is captive. The San Diego wild animal park does the cheetah run.
