I'm thinking of trying this combination. Has anyone used this lens and do you have any photos taken with it? Can i get to 1:1 with this combination?

Can onlyanswer part 2- Yes you should be able to get over 1:1 with a full set of ext tubes (68mm).

I have mad only few images with my EF 50/1.8 and tubes.

You should know that you can not get every magnification you want. The lens has a focus travel ~8mm, and normal thin EF tubes are 12mm thick, so there are gaps in the focus range down to 1:1.

IQ will get lower when you use the lens as macro.
