Dear FM Sports,
Looking for suggestions on good quality templates for doing larger pics or posters to be given to seniors on senior night in a couple weeks. Just got asked by team mom. Primarily looking for basketball theme templates that allow school name, player name and number. Have been shooting games for the season and many of the players have never had action photos taken before. Have some basic photoshop skills but have never tried to do a poster with multiple pics which I have seen from many of the members on this sight.
Thanks in advance for your help and direction with this project.

Rick, in a word... try.
A simple poster is really not that tough if you have the basic PS skills and some quality shots of the players. And more than enough assistance to get you through the process is available here on the forum.

Carl, Google'd them as well. i guess I should of put in my post that I was looking for recommendations from fellow FM members who had tried them and were pleased with them.
Tom, I have seen your work posted here before and you have phenomenal PS skills. I am still learning to do masking and layering. There is also the time commitment as well which I don't have alot of lately. I wanted to use a template because I then would know that the quality wouldn't look like it was my first time.

I picked up some templates from Pasatieri when he was doing his post Sandy relief effort. Quite nice and straight forward if you understand layers. The hard part, as always, is pulling the player out of the background. I've found it challenges my selection skills, but as I do more I get better. Haven't found the "secret sauce" to quick and easy selection.
Of course if you could get players to pose action against a solid background things would be easy. No one willing to do that around here.

Wow. Thank you all so much for the recommendations / plug. I am truly touched at how highly my work is being spoken of.
As far as cutouts are concerned, I have a confession... I outsource mine to India. Yes, I said India. The company does an amazing job, and in most cases it's about $2. for a cut out. $4. if they have to mask hair. Please PM me if you want their info. Many FM users already know the company, I am just not allowed to promote them here according to the forum rules.

I'll jump on the Chris Pasatieri bandwagon. It's no secret, I use a lot of his templates and I have even commissioned him to design some exclusively for me. He does great work and is a great guy to boot.

Yup Chris is a stand up guy. Sent him an email asking about a couple of specific templates. The next morning I had a reply with the invoice. I paid, and BAM email sent with templates attached.
I am pretty good with PS but the time Chris saved me was worth every penny for the template!!!
Is there a new place to go to look at these templates, etc? I see recent reviews/praise for working with these, but all the links appear dead and even the root site is pretty barren at this point? Needing some help with some creative volleyball templates!
