Here is a set from last night's game vs. Towson. NU is now 5-0 in the CAA.

These were either shot with:
70-200 f2.8 VR at f2.8, 1/1000 with 6400 iso on a D5100.
35 f1.8 at f2.2, 1/1000 with 1600 iso on a D3100.

C&C is appreciated.

these photos lack the sharpness & brilliance I'm used to seeing from Nikon cameras in this forum.
I think the action is good however.

I have to agree with Kenneth. Also is 'Hofstra' the same as Towson??

Thanks for the feedback. I'm using the two entry level Nikon bodies at the moment, I suspect that would be the cause.

Hofstra is not the same as Towson. I made a mistake when I titled it. It's fixed now.

I wouldn't think the lack of sharpness is from the 1/1000 shutter speed, but maybe shooting at F2.2 is causing it.
Check your focus - to see if it's front or back of center. Maybe try 1/750 or 1/500 with a smaller F stop to see how they look for your next game.
