I'm just back from a 2,5 week trip in India. It was very cold (coldest in 20 years or so) and a couple of days it was very foggy.
One of my main goals was the Taj Mahal. When we visited Agra there was very foggy andonly a 30-50m visibility.
At least it gave me an unusual view.
Looks ok ... considering how it could have been on a more fair day, it's a shame - don't you think ? The distortion is a bit too much for my taste and the fog just washes out all the interesting details.
Just as a side note - for what it is worth - I am not a big fan of these digital picture frames. I think the shot would look better just plain or with a thin black border if need to be. Slightly beside the point perhaps but I just wanted to mention it. Frank
Thanks Frank.
If I used a longer focal range (at a greater distance) the building would be invisible in the fog.
I think it's not a distortion problem but a perspective one. I made it as large as possible by sitting on the ground.
This one looks indeed better with the "classic black" (there is no "thin black" option).
