That is a sweet space, Brian! Thanks for sending it along. Very warm and inviting. Love the wood floor, leather couch and the vintage stereo. Low key and casual... I can imagine some very successful consults taking place there.
Thanks man! You know when you start asking over 3 grand to shoot a wedding, you really need a unique proposition, and I think for me, it's my style, my laid-back personality and my artistic vision. Can I sell it at Starbucks or on Skype? Sure, but I think by having the client over it starts the personalized process earlier.
Speakers are mid 1950s Heathkit SS-1s with an Alnico 8" and horn.

Tons of vintage '60s rock vinyl, Beatles, Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Blues, Jazz, Bluegrass. I'm into anything old and good!
And if I was a client meeting with you at your house, that music collection would definitely be a selling point. That's the potential benefit to the home consult I'm talking about... you're giving these unspoken cues to your clients as to who you are and why they should book you.
Absolutely, just this past Saturday MOB commented that she had a record player. Some of my clients have record players or are into antiques, vintage design, my photos...there is always some common ground or concentric space to engage with them.
