Actually at the moment the nikonusa site is showing the D5200 as $899, but they aren't showing a body only price. Only prices with a kit lens.

This seems a very decent camera for the price yet I am surprised by the criticism.
As a Canon user I can only be envious of Nikon's APS-C line up.

That's because the APS-C users are still waiting for a D400 and get understandably annoyed by any camera released by Nikon that is not the D400.

How has the 5200 been reviewed in Europe? Hasn't it been available there for a few months? I'm very curious about the Toshiba sensor. [i'm at work and can't take time to search myself.]
