p.1 #1 · Sigma announces two new lenses and USB Dock
Sigma just announced the release of two new lenses: A full-frame "Sports" model - SIGMA 120-300mm F2.8 DG OS HSM and a APS-C format "Contemporary" model - SIGMA 17-70mm F2.8-4 DC MACRO OS HSM.
Both lenses are similar in style and well-built design of the Sigma 35mm f/1.4 "Art" model. They are compatible with the new Sigma USB Dock, which enables photographers to operate lens firmware updates as well as customization including focus setting.

If Sigma's 17-70 performs anywhere nearly as well as the 35mm 1.4, I sense that it will become the Canon 17-55 killer.
It looks like it has micro ultrasonic motor with rotating focus ring, not the proper USM/HSM. See the focus scale on the ring itself, not under a proper separate window?

That dock looks like it can keep a cup of coffee warm.
As long as your cup has a proper bayonet mount...

Focus limiter is one. Though I never quite understood what made them omit it from the original model, or at least the OS one. Any other features of note?

These new "Art' lenses are tempting me to try a sigma lens again for the first time in years! Sweet looking designs and if the quality and sharpness is like the new 35mm is supposedly they will be awesome.
