p.1 #1 · Nephew and Sister in Law

Got a used Canon 5dMKii for Christmas and bought a Canon 40mm 2.8 Pancake. Shot this quickly at a family gathering at ISO 3200. Very impressed with both the camera and the lens (coming from a 5d classic).

So I am just getting used to shooting with raw so that I can tone down the luminance noise is photoshop or lightroom. As I have been reading the dpreview review of the camera I can see that using the luminance slider while getting rid of grain softens the photo at the same time. Which for me when I blew this photo up to 8 x 10 was a good thing as it softened the mom's features which pleased her.
