Thanks Andrew and AMaji.
I fiddled around with this looking for the best amount of contrast/brightness, detail/shadow, etc.
No one particularly struck me as being clearly preferable, so I decided to go with this combination.

Nice work on this, Charlie. Have you considered converting this to b/w? That would clear up some of the color noise I see in the steam. Either way, cool looking shot.

Yes, this image is ear-marked for conversion to B&W. It's so monochromatic that it is almost there anyway
