These both have an almost 3D feel to them. Very nice, and I really like your choice of aspect ratio.

I like the delicacy of these images as well as the muted colors. The pano format gives #2 a nice breadth.

These are both great images though I must say #2 is a special photograph. As others have pointed out, the composition leads my eyes from left to right and creates a very pleasing effect. The light on the mountains truly is gorgeous. I'd be delighted to have these images in my portfolio.

Gosh thanks so much for all the feedback and kind words, everyone - I really do appreciate it. I've been busy enjoying the snow here so Africa has taken a back seat for a while!

David - I love my 800e - the way it captures light is so impressive and the resolution is very nice if not genuinely necessary! It's nice to have a lighter body as well, which was my main reason for ditching the 1ds3. A few niggles but overall really happy with it.
