Yesterday I received a 14-24mm lens I bought from another FM-member. Thus far, I have been more the 50mm-plus kind of photographer (200mm is one of my favorite focal lengths) and I still need to get used to the ultra-wide perspective, but I have the strong feeling this is going to be fun.

Congratulations finding some color! I'm in Westboro and having trouble getting inspired lately with winter settling in :-)
Thanks. The weather was GREAT today. In the morning we all went sledding with our two kids and the neighbors' two and after a late lunch I got permission to walk around with the new lens for an hour. The sun was just on its way down making for a nice warm light on a cold day.

Congrats! The 14-24 is an awesome lens.
Thanks, lxdesign, I am starting to realize that. I took a few test shots of boring objects and I am thrilled by the optical quality. Everybody says so, but it is a different story to experience it first-hand. I don't mind the weight of that lens either (especially when working with a tripod).
