Two incredible images Tim. Altogether different from one another.
Gee, the light , shape and contour of that log would be a winner even withOUT the owl. But with it- oh me oh my .

Thanks for the good words. They tend to sleep during the day so getting wide open eyes isn't easy unless you do something to harass them. PM sent about TC's.

I never did see any PM from you Tim. I am going to get a mk III on friday and try it out. My friend at the local Samys Camera gives me a lot of rope and lets me keep things longer then normal to make sure I like it. So I will see if I am happy with the results. I hope I am. I need that extra reach!

Great examples from your card full Tim!! What a day! I love #1, so much for shooting white birds at high noon, aye? (I threw in the aye to throw folks off ).
Thanks again for the great day, inviting me along, answering my questions, chimping at the right times and offering suggests on comps! Here's an "I'm buying you a couple IOU". Sorry if I got in front of any of your shots, with my puny 500 I need to be 37.5% closer than you to have the same FoV.
Here's a shot I got of you with my pocket camera, the man at work (or we should say play). This kind of reminds me of Wilson on Tool Time, you never saw his whole face. Looks like I may have oversharpened the grass.
