WOW!
Chris- all of these are super images! Can't possibly pick a favorite because they are so dissimilar.
Too bad the bicyclist wasn't a female; then our friends from Britain, AussieLand, KiwiLand (and a couple other countries) could legitimately call it a photograph of a "bird." .
About the name of your country :
Years ago I was traveling in Europe and fell in love with a Dutch woman named Tessie. She explained the difference between "Holland" (the name of a region along the coast) and "Netherlands" (the correct name of the country). Even the Dutch use the names interchangeably- so it's no big deal.
Americans are equally casual about a couple of terms. There is no country of "America." Canadians, Mexicans, Costa Ricans, Argentinians, etc are also Americans. My theory is that it sounds funny to call myself a "United Statesian" . So I follow the crowd.

Really cool seeing three different perspectives of the Geese... I like them all Chris.
Nice job on the biker man too... I never look for those kind of shots... I need to start.
Happy New Year!

Ah, Tessie from Harlem.
She was probably referring to the two county north and south Holland. Both to be found along the coast among other counties. Interesting.
Charlie, may I take this opportunity to thank you for all your extended comments.
All the best to you and have a great year, my friend.

Love the double shot Chris, really well done! 1 is the reason I wear a hat when I head out!
Happy New Year!
Tim
Manny thanks Tim.
It's great to bike around here. Sometimes you have to fight strong winds but that's still easier than to cycle up a mountain.
Glad you like the images.

Manny thanks Kirk.
I was looking at the neat light and certainly this biker was in it. Felt like doing an IF shot.
Glad you like them.

Nice job on these, Chris. I particularly like #3, a clean and clear shot with a pleasing blue sky a warm lighting.
The last shot is very cool. I like the bg color that goes with it and the well defined profile of the cyclist. Well seen!
Have a very Happy 2013
