You're not missing anything. He probably does it just out of habit. He might also have a script running that automates bumps with a "Bump" in the text body like I did back before we got the red button.

Like I said, that's what the red 'bump' tag does, without having 'x' number of repeated 'bump' replies stacking up .......
It looks cleaner and less desperate than having 14 replies, all from the OP, saying 'BUMP'
