I've been in Finland for a few months, so I can share a few. It's so cold that I rarely take my camera out, but I've still managed to get a few decent photos.

Thanks for your kind comments. And yes, that old stone chimney is still standing...the last time I checked, at least.
Black Kite (ssp. govinda) in flight at the Rice Fields near Petchaburi (Thailand) - 19 January 2013. Shot w/ 5D3 at 1600 asa; 1/2500 sec exposure; f5.6 - hand-held
The landscape photo of the Rice Fields is in IR (with converted 5D2) and 24-105 F4.
Both photos 19-20 January 2103 - winter in Thailand...
Thanks for all the snow, mountains, lakes, birds, and icicles!
We got a little freezing rain this afternoon, not anything to provide "vistas", but an excuse for some tight shots of ice on plants. All with the 100 L, except for the shot of our old dog Photon's reaction to the treacherous footing in her yard, and the photo of a freezing but dry construction site done yesterday. Those were shot with the 24-105.

Black & white ice - I didn't feel like challenging the black ice on the roads
I'm not going anywhere. If my four foot drive has no traction, how are you going to stay on your two feet?
