It is always so much fun to sit back and reflect on the year while looking forward to the new one ahead. It’s been a wonderful year! We moved into a new house in the mountains in January and finally have room for the kids to run and play (without annoying the neighbors). We get snow and amazing monsoon thunder storms up here, and have room for a big garden and a chicken coop – two things I’ve wanted for a long time. The kids have all grown and are a year older; I now have 1 in high school, 2 in middle school, 3 in elementary school, 2 in preschool, and 1 little sweetie still at home with me. Oh, and we are expecting our 10th in early July and couldn’t be more excited! My photography business is going well and I’ve added mentoring and editing classes to my repertoire this year. I’m currently writing my first e-book on working with natural light and can’t wait to share that! I’ve made some wonderful friends this year, witnessed (and photographed) a dear friend’s birth, taken some amazing road trips, and enjoyed my big family. I shot my very first celebrity client this year, and they even came back to me again for fall pictures - I can't say who it was OR share the family images, but I'll just say that some images of their baby are mixed in with these collages. hehe All in all, it’s been a great year. I taught myself how to use OCF so that was a big step forward for me this year. It is always fun challenging yourself and learning new things!
Next year I hope to do more of the same – shoot what I love, further refine the techniques I’ve been working on, make new friends, watch my children grow, and have a new baby. I cannot wait! I take a lot of pride in what I do and put my heart and soul into every session that I shoot. I can’t wait to see what 2013 brings.

Great portfolio, definitely a nice set of photographs. Glad to see things are going well for your business. Have a happy new year and looking forward to what adventures 2013 will bring.
