Hi guys im thinkin about getting one for myself this christmas and i saw one in cameta camera for $829 factory demo (refurb) any experience with cameta refurb camera.?Or should i just get a new one..?Thanks for the advice guys..Merry Christmas!!
Purchased a black one with lens as a gift for my daughter in law 45 days ago, perfect condition. Their units are Oly factory refurbs and the warranty is one year as with a new unit. Purchased a fair amount of equipment from them over the last few years, good people who stand behind their transactions.
Just to update this mine is on the way!!Got myself a new one instead.
Now the question is which lens to mount here..as a walkaround lens
pany 25? oly 20? or the 17 1.8? its hard really to decide..
And for sure getting myself the oly 75mm 1.8 or the 45mm 1.8 later
any advice guys..? thanks.
Congratulations on your new camera.
I just wanted to chime in here on the benefits of refurbs.
I bought an Oly from Cameta and it has been perfect from day one.
Other experiences in buying refurbs from Canon, Bowens and Apple have been uniformly excellent.

For my OM-D I have the pana 20 1.7 and like it, but I miss having more options with one lens, so I am getting a pana 12-35 as a walk around lens. The Oly 45 is probably next, unless I feel flush and get the pana 35-100.

Thanks for the reply guys I would like to keep 2 lens for now and primes my option.I might decide between the pany 25 1.4 or the oly 17 1.8...
For those still interested in factory refurb OM-D from Cameta, you can get them today on eBay for $829 with 5% eBay bonus bucks ($41.45) back on the purchase price. The 5% bonus is good only for today, but that is almost like getting a refurb OM-D for $787.55. The only caveat is that you only spend the "rebate" on eBay, and like many others who have posted on this thread, I have had good experiences with factory refurbished products.

Cameta is a good store to do business with - I've purchased several refurbs from them. I had a problem with one refurb that I bought from them and they exchanged it with no hassles.
