I've got the Sigma 12-24 Mki, which has served me well. I'll have to look into the Mkii to see what they did to improve it. Mine does smear the corners a bit.

I think that the main difference between the MKI and MKII is that the MKII is sharper across the frame and in the corners but the trade off is moustache distortion, although PTLens can correct for this... I'm yet to notice the distortion in anything that I've shot using this lens but I don't really shoot buildings with straight lines
Well I have finished my overseas trip around Japan Back to work to pay for it! On the way home we stopped over in Kuala Lumpur. Here's a shot of their 'Taj Mahal', the Petronas Towers. I must say that the size, weight and performance of the 6D made it a perfect FF travel camera.
