Inspired by the amazing work over in the Landscape group here on FM (Best of Landscape thread), I thought it would be fun to see if this group is willing to post up their one, single favorite people or pet portrait of 2012. Can you pick just one?
I will start - this is my daughter and her fiance. I took this during a feaux engagement shoot I did with them on the University of KS campus this fall. This photo means a lot to me because I am so happy for them both and excited for the wedding coming in the fall of 2013.
That is absolutely gorgeous, Ed...love the connection, the light, everything. Just beautiful! Congrats to them on their upcoming wedding!
Picking just one is very hard...eek...VERY hard. But I will try. My favorites change all the time, so I'll choose this recent one of my 13 year old daughter. I love everything about it. Now ask me again in a few weeks and I'll probably have a new favorite. lol
Definitely not my best of 2012, but absolutely one of my faves. Just a moment in time on a warm summer evening - my kid practicing the violin, and my wife making my kid's lunch for the next school day. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-mjktcLWGCeM/UDo82E33RrI/AAAAAAAAGMA/PXL2jLSzAF0/s1600/365+005.jpg
and yes, I may be one of the last people on earth that still uses a tube tv!

I love that Mitch!
Thanks, Lisa. It's a scene that plays out almost every night in our house. I imagine our homes are a bit different... our one kid vs your nine (soon to be ten, congrats!)!! Happy holidays!
Nice pics already! Love the variety of wide shots and tight shots. I decided to add one of my kids and left it to my wife to decide. This shot was her fave, our daughter Mia just smiling nicely for the camera.
Not in the same category of the pics posted above but here's a pic I took of my daughter recently when I was just messing around. Focus isn't spot on, but I just liked her expression.
My daughter doing what she loves to do. Rewind one week earlier and we were standing in the UCSF Melanoma Center where she had been treated and eventually given a clean bill of health. She promptly found and purchased a t-shirt that says, "F...K Cancer"...
My baby girl, taken last weekend. I can look at this picture for hours and every time it makes me feel so lucky to be blessed with such a perfect little angel. So beautiful, soft and peaceful. I only hope and pray I can be the best father and that she lives a happy and fulfilled life.
