Fantastic image - to me it has a very Nat Geo look to it and would be quite apropos if reporting on an Energy theme. Really enjoyed RustyBug's abstract eclipse shot too.
Carsten the vibrant 16mm cityscape from your last set is striking.

I was really inspired and busy the last three years. In fact, this was my D3 period. When the D800 came, it was like tripping over something and having to find your rhythm again, and I had used up a lot of my inspiration at that time, and was thinking more (quantity, not success) about larger, more involved projects, and so I have hit some kind of natural pause, I guess. For now I am continuing with my urbex work and in the spring I will start up with my forest shots again.
Btw, I think these are all in the forum already, most probably in the ZE/ZF/ZM or Zeiss Lens threads.

Thanks very much!
I can't get myself to sell my D3! It is still standing here next to me. I just love that camera. There were some very good reasons for buying the D800, so I don't think it was a mistake. But that D3, sigh.

I understand, sometimes you get kind of attached to a camera. I couldn't let go of my EOS film camera I had when I lived in Australia. So many good memories with it. Eventually I sold it though.

I can relate to that. It was difficult to get rid of my Contax body and Y/C Zeiss lenses, but I had no choice when I switched to digital - it's either Canon or Nikon. For some reason, I never got sentimental with Canon, even after 10 years or so with them ... so it was easy for me to sell off my Canon gear in favor of the OM-D system. Size and weight matters .... and less is more!

Yup, great shots, Carsten!
I am glad you said that you would post them in small batches...:-)
Let's just say the batch size reflects the photographer's proficiency. Which is why I am posting but in twos...
After two pairs from aboad, time to post something Parisian, methinks
