I may try to post something when I catch my breath. There is such a wealth of beautiful shots on these 10 pages. Awesome work and thanks to each for sharing!! I think this is the best topic of the year!!!
thw2, what happened to the winds of Patagonia? I remember being there and I was hardly able to stand up against the wind. The waves on the lake had white tops.
Nice picture. Thanks for posting and happy new year. Michael
Amazing image work here on FM, I need to pick up my game in 2013
I didn't get out much this year, due to a back injury - this is a shot from a "winter morning", we don't really have winter here in Perth Western Australia.
To me this was a great day, as I was able to carry my Canon 1D MkIV and my 24-70mm lens on my back. Slow and steady does it.... unfortunately I also came to the realization that I will not be able to carry such heavy gear anymore. So I am down sizing in 2013
I would like to wish everyone a Happy and prospours 2013! and happy shooting, sorry image making!
This is always my favorite thread of the year on all of FM. Wonderful inspiring work by many of you. My contribution comes from a trip to Negril, Jamaica this past spring.

Thanks. The winds were crazy in the evenings but it was all serene in the mornings when I was there.
Got lots of favourites but chose to post this one from the Gower in october 2012 that I made with my new 1dx, a superb piece of photography equipment but a hefty price tag.
I am humbled by the display of images here... there is so much talent that it's hard not to be inspired.
My contribution is from Lake Louise, taken during a 18-day road trip through the Canadian Rockies.
It was difficult to make a choice, but I picked this because it is a departure from my typical landscape work. I rarely shoot any signs of humanity, and this image is as much about people as it is nature.
Anyway, Happy New Year to you all!
