I've been kicking around the question of whether these shots are "landscape" photography or not. They break all of my rules / preferences. Shot with an iPhone, not a DSLR. Shot in the city with visible human structures, not "out there" where man's hands are less visible.
Where these photos certainly *don't* fit is my vision of urban or architectural photography, which is the other sort of category that seems appropriate.
So, hopefully, if you feel they don't fit, you will at least be kind.
... OK. ZenFolio no longer seems to provide links to the images directly. That's an interesting step sideways. Sorry. That's new and entirely unexpected.
That's one smooth reflection David. If you cropped the building out, does that help it fit more into " landscape"? It doesn't add anything to the composition IMO. Thanks for sharing.
The remark about "landscape" is sort of funny. I wasn't sure where to put these images, so i tried the landscape forum. I was explaining my rationale. They thought they'd fit better here. Which they probably do.
Nice variations. Out of all of them I like the first and second one. Though in the second picture the ripples of water are not so evident and also the line in the sky caused by a plane?! has been removed. I think the line looked really nice. So my favorite has to be the first one
