Hi,

Brand new to forum, and when I registered, the "type this word" in the box to make sure you are not a bot was "geezer"!

I had to check to make sure my iPad FaceTime was not on!!!

How did they know?

That was most likely a captcha. They are commonly used for online registrations, etc., so there is nothing to be concerned about.

I'm pretty sure hes saying it was just a funny coincidence.

Exactly right (as in "I resemble that remark")

Usually those captcha words are nonsensical so it was just pretty funny to get "geezer" a day or two after my 61st birthday...

A subtle joke contained in the form of a captcha. Great! You are among the very few on FM with a sense of humor. Coincidently my initial registration was the same word only with a capital "G" .... probably because I am slightly older than you. Welcome.
