Thanks for the critic. tilt is done on purpose, sometimes I just don't like that everything so structured. Yeap, the image has a radial filter with 0.5 exposure in the middle, I just needed it to be able to see bout faces without losing the beautiful sunset colors. It is my type of edition, I am used to it and my clients too, so it is not my intention to do something different (or more traditional). Sometimes I try not to notice that filter as much, but sometimes it does not bother me as much if it has to be there.
Hi friends, I have a question. My work is 90% backlit and always consider that the 200mm f2 vrii with nanocoated would improve my work at some point. But how much really? It is worth spending the extra to get to change the vri for the vrii. Does anyone have examples made with the two lenses or experience to tell me? Thank you
I have used both the nanocoated current version and its predecessor. The new version gives more contrasty images wide open (f/2) but stopped down to f/2.8 and f/4 there is less of a difference. I didn't make a backlight comparison between the two. The differerence in contrast at f/2 is noticeable even in everyday use. The tripod mount is much-improved in the MK II version.

This has been the one Nikon lens I have probably lusted after more than any other, and Nikon Rumors is now reporting that it has been discontinued, though I guess that could mean many things.
Hope not.
A 200/2 FL and 300/2.8 FL were patented by Nikon some years ago. I look forward to seeing them materialize as products.
