Another great cabin shot. Love that series. Is that a once a year get away for you and family?
Thanks Steve,
The cabin we visit is a short walk from here and every year this is a family vacation. Usually the kids are shooting bow and arrows at our place while I am down taking pictures.
No Craig, the cabin is not on my property. It's right next to it.
I believe this cabin is used by someone who hunts in the fall. We've never seen anyone here in the summer after going up many years. But clearly someone takes care of this little place.
When I run into the owner someday, I plan on telling him about my love of this little place. Hopefully he'll understand.
Thanks very much. I usually don't shoot in this direction at sunset because my shadow gets in the picture. This year I shot that way and cloned my shadow out. I think I"ll try this angle again next year with a longer telephoto lens and see what happens.
For me, this doesn't work as well as your others which I adore. A slightly higher angle with less foreground would work better IMHO. I like the light though and the golden tones will make a nice addition for your series.

I really like the 3D'ish effect this capture presents. I believe the foreground is what's making effect more prominent on my screen...I'm anxious to tour your gallery. Thanks for sharing Gordon!
