p.1 #2 · The Most Popular Cameras and Settings for Reuters’ 2012 Photos of the Year

Would like to see a much larger sample - only 95 photos from a Canon only company. But interesting trivia.

I'm thinking the approximate Nikon equivalent would be a couple of D4's with 24-70 and 70-200, glued on f2.8

Nikon version would probably be 17-35/2.8 and 70-200VRII.

Interesting how much is shot at the ultra-wide end.

Thanks for the link.

I now know why my images are not that good.

I'm a small sliver in each of the pie charts!!

Pointless compilation of trivia that means very little, if anything.

Just consider how much PJ work is done indoors with no consideration for providing space for the photographer.

The lense and settings are of note as those are really agnostic.

The camera brand is of no value at all as this is a canon house.

Shocking to see a Sony DSC H5 in there. Not that it isn't a good camera.

+1 Working pros get the shot. They use the lens that best gets that shot, if possible.

Interesting read, but the color-scheme on the charts makes them almost impossible to read...

I wonder what the reasoning is for Canon being the 79+% majority leader?

They're the cameras Reuters provide their staff.
