I like the idea, but I think getting closer would help both of these images - too much background.

Cute ideas, especially the second one.

Note, however, the emphasis in both pictures seems to be the props, not the child.

The proportion of space devoted to the child's face is small, about 1/60th of the frame.

Compare to this other post featuring a baby. The baby is shown large.

Thanks for the tips guys, much appreciated.

It was actually the parents that wanted it this style as opposed to some other images I had cropped down.

I will try out some different crops as well. Thanks.

there's gradient of light on your back drop coming from the camera right. As mentioned above, cropping tighter with the camera would make your images look cleaner and more personal. I really like the one with the bear.
