Well, those who know me know that I'm not one to toot my own horn -- though I must admit I did some horn tooting when Cornell All About Birds made me their Featured Photographer in February -- but the Texas bird site Birdzilla ( ( www.birdzilla.com ) just made me their December photographer. So there's a short bio, photos from my trips to SE Arizona's Chiricahua Mountains -- and an audio interview of me done by Sam Crowe, the owner of Birdzilla. Sam also posted a photo of my BushHawk rig, but that was taken a few years ago; the one here was taken about a half hour ago. Cool Beans all around!

Congratulations Steve! I've never seen a Bushmaster. Now I know what they are all about. Looks like a cool rig.
Ken, it's a REALLY rig Though I still need some modifications, like having a sheepskin cover on that "crutch" handle to make it more comfortable. But I just sling the BushHawk across my back and can carry it on my dayhikes. For overnight backpacks, I use the 100-400...

Congrats Steve !
Interesting rig - looks a bit like the old Russian Tair. I wouldn't use them here in China though for fear of being mistaken for something else
Kevin, the BushHawk rig here has even been mistaken -- for a bazooka! And I've been buzzed by police helicopters on more than one occasion, coming in for a closer look. Maybe they thought I had a rocket launcher...I can only imagine what they'd think of it in China!

Thanks Ed! Sam Crowe , owner of Birdzilla, worked for the Cornell Labs All About Birds a few years back, and had made me their Featured Photographer back in 2007 I believe, so when he had his new website, it was just a matter of time before I "came aboard" there...
