Shot some h.s. girls dance last night and this d3s always impresses me. i shot canon for 10 years and recently made the move to nikon. both system are great but i really like this d3s.
this was my first dance shoot in a long time so i need to work on timing.
Very nice shots Grant! My favorite is two... I always struggled in indoor sports and my D300 didn't help me back then (it focused great but couldn't boost the ISO much) , the D3S however shows it's class in such settings and of course in the hands of a capable photographer
Great work Grant... looks like you're getting onto the new gear quick! My monitor is calibrated as well and I'm not seeing the "overly saturated" comment made earlier here either... definitely has pop, but nothing is to the point of being blown I can see. Personally I go with standard as the picture control setting, what are you using here? I like the framing and the captures... well done.
