I had a VG900 for a week, returned it when I found there was too much corner smearing with wide angle lenses. Also it is difficult to operate as a camera (control for white balance is difficult to access, control for exposure comp seems to adjust absolute exposure not relative to metered level so you have to keep adjusting as light changes).

By any chance have you any samples to share or already posted somewhere? I'm curious as to how bad the smearing gets, although I'm not at all surprised to learn it is problematic.

To me, the poor performance of the VG-900 indicates that a full frame NEX camera might not be ideal after all, and that the NEX-line should stay APS-C, where perfomance is indeed extraordinary.
