I'm not able to select 2nd curtain sync on my 5D 2 with my 550ex. Also can't select it with studio strobes.
Any one out there know whats up with this.

The 5D2 flash menu doesn't work with old E-TTL units like the 550EX or 430EX (grayed out). You need a newer model or else settle with the several seconds of drudgery controlling special settings like 2nd curtain sync from the Speedlite itself.
I could be wrong--been a few years since I used studio strobes--don't think 2nd curtain sync, high speed sync and shutter speeds above 1/125 (some only 1/60) works with EOS and big studio strobes.
