For those yearning for a 300-600 f/4-5.6 Argraph has your weapon. The freaky thing is that it's a macro supertele with an mfd of 0.55m, yes not 5.5m, 0.55m. $12K estimated street price. So not much dearer than reported for Canon's 200-400.

Also don't forget I am not the least bit interested in either of them at these prices, but the Argraph specs are very sweet. 600mm macro would be awesome.
Not sure if it's AF or not. It would want to be at this price.

Absolutely true. I believe Canon has a peerless suite of long lenses today. Nikon is a relatively close 2nd. And then there is nothing else that comes even close, regardless of the money one may be willing to spend.
