Lizzie, it isn't claustrophobic at all.
It's open on top and pretty large inside the tube and the "shot" is taken from behind the tube part shooting back:

Thanks, Bob - that looks stunning too! I guess I just have a bit of a phobia about flash floods - read too much about them when we went to Oman a few years back! ;-)
