I just created a web based app to tell you the shutter count of your camera. For the most part it works with nikon cameras but if you don't see what you are looking for you can show all the exif data and maybe find it there.
Unlike myshuttercount, my app allows you to use a photo url to view the data. this way you don't have t upload it.
Anyway, thought you might find it useful. And yes, it's brand new so I will have to work out the bugs

Unfortunately Canon doesn't store the actuation count in EXIF. It's available on some bodies via USB+their SDK.

Thats what I did. Seems to not work with my D7000 or D700 and worked with my D3.
