After the snow started falling during the 3A game, this game was postponed 30 minutes to try to clear the sidelines and goal box of snow. Finally we started and this game went scoreless through regulation and 2 overtimes. Finally Battle Mountain beat Palmer Ridge 4-2 in a shootout to win the 4A State Championship. Unfortunately, there was a whiteout that hit the stadium near the end of the game, and with not end in sight, they postponed the 5A game until tonight, which I can not shoot because it is my moms 88th birthday....so....here are the photos....
Yeah, the 5A game officials came out to check the field and could hardly stand up, the wind was blowing so very hard they could not properly officiate the game, so they called it....
I have shot more high school sports in snow here in Colorado than the last 9 years in Alaska.

Wow, unbelievable conditions that you had to shoot in.
As a former referee, I cannot understand why they allowed this game to be played in such conditions.
Soccer is an all weather sport, and you don't have many alternate dates at a place like Dick's, not to mention the expense of team travel in a state tournament.
