Great work Steve!!! Excellent job on the exposures. I'm betting it was wonderful fun to be out shooting with Lil again I'm going for the Daliesque shot
Tim
Thanks amigo Tim! Yep, it was like old times being out and about with Lil. Hey, I'm hoping you'll come down here for a visit to the area before I take off down the road, but if you don't, then I'll see you up there sometime during my travels with Discovery. AND -- I plan to bring PITA along with me...
Thanks Kurt! It was almost like shooting fish in a barrel, because a fellow photographer was throwing food out for the ducks to come in close. In fact, they were almost too close at times for my 500 f4 !

Beautiful work, Steve. I like the head shot best, but I enjoyed them all
Socrate
Thanks Socrate, my friend! It's always worth the 30 mile one-way trip to find these fellows, but I'm always hoping one decides to move a little closer to me. It happened with a male Mandarin Duck; I discovered one at a small park only 2 miles away, here in my home town! Now I don't have to go 30 miles to see him as I did before...

Hangin with Lil AND getting to see these gorgeous Ducks........don't get better buddy
They all rock Steve and I especially like that detail in the last frame
Tom
Yep Tom, it was a 2-fer kinda day, having Lil's company AND seeing these beautiful guys. Hey, hope to see you and TIm during my travels with Discovery, and I'm bringin' PITA the 'Yak with me...

Wow. Great head-shot! Im envious that they are this tame in your neck of the woods. Nice work!
Well, they were enticed in by another photographer throwing food out to bring them in closer, so they didn't come in on their own, and probably wouldn't have. Once the food was gone, they stayed pretty far away in the lake, so I guess we should thank that food-throwing photographer...

Your Salvador 'Ducky' shot is making me crazy
Good 'Wood' my friend
Karl
"Salvador Ducky" -- now why didn't I think of that? Guess it's a true mark of its "Dali-esqueness" that it's driving you crazy. You can send your psychiatric bill to me in the morning.
Thanks, my friend Karl! I'll see you, mostly likely in 2014...
Best Wishes,
Steve

Nice set Steve. Awesome detail
David
Thanks David! The light was excellent that day, and behind us, so I was shooting in ISO 200, when it's usually 400. That head shot printed out great on my Canon Pixma Pro 9000 at 13 x 19 !
