I spent all weekend under the blind hoping to get some hooded merganser shots up close. I could see them taking crayfish but just a bit too far off for shots. Some other good stuff walked by the blind...

Looks like the blind was upwind from the game trail and that gave you some great looks from these guys Not what you wanted but pretty nice none the less. You never know what you are going to come with!
Interesting images.
The coyote ears are almost doglike (compared to the coyotes I've seen in the far west).
Taken by itself, the penultimate image with the yearling's mouth open is very funny.

About #1: If this is from the eastern part of the country maybe the coyotes there are different from the Colorado flavor... but my first thought was, "That's got wolf in it." What do you think?
