Just got a D700 and still dialing it in. I have to say that the D700 is simply an amazing camera! The Tokina 17mm 3.5 RMC is also amazing, but I wonder how much better it gets with a real lens Running on 2 hours of sleep, so I am sure I will have to edit these shots after I sleep...
Thanks! It is crazy what I have been missing. I shot with a 1Ds for a few years, and then shot with film the last 6 - 7 months. TO see that beautiful LCD - and be able to actually see if the scene is in focus is crazy - Still haven't tried live view or any of that other stuff.
What sweet shots! I like them both. You will really like your D700. I loved mine dearly till it met an early demise in the ocean. So be careful. As great as the D700 is, it doesn't know how to swim...

You know, it really is kinda hard to find good creek scenes. After I looked at this shot, I thought it looked too busy, and maybe shot too wide - but it is growing on me.
