p.1 #1 · Main dial on 1d2n not working, any ideas?
I just got a 1D2n that I bought from KEH, and checking it out this morning I noticed the main dial on the back (the big one) isn't working. Everything else seems to function 100%, and it was a great deal, so I want to try to trouble shoot it before I see about exchanging it.
Any ideas?
PS, I checked to confirm the switch for the dial is "on"

I'm sure you will have tried this but when you are using the dial to change, for example exposure compensation it only functions when the metering mode has been activated with a half shutter press otherwise it doesn't appear to work.
You can always check by putting the camera in M mode where the rear dial should operate every time as long as it's enabled (which you confirm it is)

Yeah, I could see that being a problem... Now that I've figured out my issue with the rear dial, can someone tell me how to turn on the "auto" and "face detection" modes?
