Welcome to the forums. A good first post!
I like the tone you have applied to this and your conversion. I would crop in closer, maybe portrait to get the hotse's mane out of it, or perhaps to the prominent button on the vest from bottom and to remove horse mane from the right hand side. If you have a wider view, I would look at a crop to include the horse's head.
