Named as this location only really looks great in the Twilight, though I have witnessed it looking pretty good at midday.
This warm evening I'd been shooting the other side of the Cove and not gotten much, thus returned for a last attempt at the Cove. Looking for some foreground I set up on the discarded kelp as the last of the light diminished.
The following are just my opinions, and they may be worth what you are paying for them.
I think the idea and the composition with an interesting foreground object is a good.
However, in this case, it looks to me like the interesting bit was the beautiful water and the red rocks. This specific composition pretty well minimizes those. Your eyes is pulled toward them by the foreground, which is good, but they are so small.
Perhaps if this had been shot with not so wide a lens? You would have still had the foreground, but it would have been relatively smaller and the beautiful water and rocks would have been bigger.
I agree with the above. There is too much of the weeds and not enough of what I feel should be the main focus - the great red rocks and water.
I like the even light a lot.
