p.2 #1 · Q: How do you achieve this?

I really don't get the VSCO hate around here. Being original is really only in the market you're in, not world wide. There's really nothing that hasn't been done.

Additionally, I know we all love Hoffer around here, but half the images I see around these parts seem to be Hoffer clones. Heck, there's even a thread about "This image is NOT inspired by Hoffer" when the OP even admits it was a joke, and it was, indeed, inspired by him.

We're all original (hopefully) in our own markets. There's no processing, style of shooting, OCF work, or anything else that's really original anymore. It's all been done.

Shouldn't we all be relying on our personalities as a selling point? Images are images. And in no way do I mean to degrade the importance of what we do, but at the end of the day, the likelihood of someone finding me or anyone else who can do the same thing is high. But my personality, unlikely.

Also, to SethPhoto, the easy answer is VSCO. But VSCO is, without question, a boiler plate editing style. Tweaking these as necessary (I like to add a little clarity, change WB, remove grain, etc.) is really key to staying inspired and unique.

...and being inspired is most important. At least to me.
