I want it to appeal to me too Phil, but am having a difficult time connecting with its elements, I just see a round object of some sort, high key all over, and diagonal lines, not sure what it all means or is a symbol for.
Certainly an abstract.
I cant really connect it with the title. I think more of a button on some heavily textured and ribbed fabric.
To me the image would work better with some more sharpness on the dark object. Looks like the sharpest areas are behind, on the material.

I like it! Is it possible to have some more interesting reflection from the droplet? Maybe a reflection of cityscape to make it look like a snowglobe, or a reflection of the camera/photographer? Just a suggestion.
