The girl was standing like this when I saw her. A smile and a gesture with my camera, and she understood what I was asking, so I took the shot.
Painless, and a good memory for us both.

Yes- I think her expression is a quiet commentary on her being shy- yet unafraid.
During my many travels abroad, I was surprised at how most children responded that way.
It sure assuaged any feelings of guilt I might have had otherwise.
