Okay, excuse my ignorance here, but just turned on the D600 and noticed the in camera meter exposes opposite from my D700. On the 700, the meter is over exposed to the left of the 0 line. Now, with the 600, it is over exposed to the right of the 0 line. I'm probably missing something very obvious here or have a setting switched to something different. Any thoughts?

Nikon changed this in the D4, d800, d600. I believe there is a custom function to set it back. On the D800 the Custom setting is f12.

Oh man.. I'm getting a D600 today and that's going to mess me up. I guess I should set it back with the custom function since I'll also be using my D5000 as a backup. That would REALLY be confusing!

Trying to figure how to set it back with the custom function. Not having any luck, will research it a bit further.

This can't be that hard to change. Check the manual.

Edit: I just checked the online manual. And it's right there. Custom Shooting Menu - setting f8. Change the default to the proper one

It's on page viii (right at the beginning of the manual).

It is F8 in the 600 menu. Originally thought it was F5 but that was the wrong setting. All fixed now.
