Hey everyone - I'm also teaching a one-day intensive at Mystic on proactive steps to creating and maximizing Networking and Word-of-Mouth referrals. Basically marketing and generating work without spending money. I know that most people think taking great photos and providing good service takes care of this but my experience and research shows that isn't exactly the case and there are concrete steps you can take to ensure that you generate more goodwill bookings.
The seminars are running all day, so you'll probably find that the vast majority of people are taking part. A big part of Mystic is the interaction after hours. So I think you get the WPPI-hang-out experience for sure but also hopefully so more involved and educational material.

I'm thinking about it. Is it like WPPI where people just go to hang out?
I haven't ever been to WPPI, but from what I hear it is nothing like it. Mystic is much smaller. I think it maxes out at like 300 people. Walter schedules the talks so that they don't overlap and you don't have to choose one speaker over another. I went last year and for the most part, I saw every speaker. There were one or two that I got tired of, about 15 minutes before they finished.. so I'd pop out and cruise through the little manufacturers showroom area. The cool thing is, everyone stays in the same hotel so once the seminars are over each day, everyone hangs out at the bar or the restaurant.. so you get to socialize, have fun and make connections with people.... including the speakers.
I'll add that we had such a good time last year that we signed up and paid before we even knew who the speakers were going to be this year.
Walter and I worked out a deal for Mystic Signups, if you have purchased from HF then you can receive a discount code for Mystic Registration. And I'll be giving away a MoneyMaker at the seminar. I look forward to meeting all of you there!
How are you giving the MoneyMaker away? business card pull or something?
For those that are planning on attending... bring lots of business cards, a lot of the vendors do business card pulls for give aways in between the seminars

You know Richard I'm not sure, I just told Walter that I wanted to do it and he was happy about it...I'm sure he's got something fun cooked up!

I heard it's going to be a break dancing battle - fat laces required.
