I stopped at the local park on the way home today in hopes there might be something hanging out. Nothing but Canada Geese and the local Mallards but as I turned to leave a couple of ducks dropped out of the sky. One was a female Mallard but oddly enough she was hanging out with a little Wood Duck female. Usually they don't get very close but I guess when they're with "tame" ducks they forget some of their fear and actually give you some poses.

really nice mike! the female woodie is often overlooked in favor of her male equivalent. these shots show how pretty she can be if you take the time to really look at her.

A very nice set of images, Mike.

I just love the last shot.
The bright spot above the tail in #3 was a bit distracting and maybe could be cloned out.

That doesn't quite sound right but you really captured some nice poses of her and the feathering looks just ducky nice!

#2 is a nice glamour shot
