Noticed a new "feature" in Aperture 3.4...images imported (large panoramic images) seem to have a new "type" of thumbnail with strange "cloth scissors-cut" edge as shown in the selected thumb in the image below. I've never seen this before, and as a matter a fact the panoramic image with the strange new jagged edges was created in PS CS5 just like the thumb next to it (with the standard looking thumb).
Any ideas as to what if anything this new thumbnail means or refers to?
Never mind... if someone else is curious about this, this is how Aperture 3.4 displays very wide pano images. eg those with a wider aspect ratio than it can display in the thumbnail view. In previous version it just made a very "short and wide" thumb that displayed the image in its TINY entirety. I think the new version cuts off the sides beyond roughly a 3:1 aspect ratio.
