This is my first post! I'm just getting started and am interested in portraits and weddings. These photos were from my first shoot in my basement studio. Dad loves cars so we had the idea of posing the baby in a racing tire. I think I like the way it turned out. Any lighting tips or other comments?
i'm no professional, but to get some comments rolling for you, I'll add some thoughts
- cute kid
- the dramatic b&w patterned backgrounds are too much for me. distracting & overpowering.

Superb pics and beautiful child!
Pic 1:
- I actually like the b&w checkered BG on the top such fushia blanket and LOVE the use of the tire! This is awesome
Pic 2:
- I can see where B&G is a little busy but the B&W with the fushia makes such a nice contrast
Clever idea - in a tire! I want to know how you all get babies to sleep! MY babies NEVER would have slept or a portrait in a tire, or basket, or pumpkin, or the plethora of unusual "holders!". I am duly impressed!
Well The first time she was a wake and crying the whole time and I got a few shots in between when she took a breath lol. I just set up the time for when she was normally sleeping. Momma fed her and got her to sleep and then and once we got her to sleep she was pretty good for about an hour.
